Because the official XML specification does not allow for a variable number of attributes the cx:parameter element was introduced with the following elements:
cx:element to add an arbitrary number of attributes
cx:let to specify arguments for the invoke value functions

A cx:parameter element ignores its content and cannot be nested in an element that is not the 'user' of the parameter.
